Children Will Paint Mural at Santa Ana Shopping Center
SANTA ANA (April 27, 2012) – Bristol Warner Village Shopping Center will host a Cinco de Mayo community event with Operation Clean Slate. Children are invited to come to the center, located at the south east corner of Bristol & Warner in SantaAna, on Saturday, May 5 from noon to 3 p.m.to participate in the creation of a large mural to showcase the local community lifestyle.
Operation Clean Slate is a campus and community beautification program designed to involve youth in making a difference at their schools and in their neighborhoods. Bristol Warner Village and Operation Clean Slate invite families to bring children to participate in the FREE Cinco de Mayo event. Operation Clean Slate will provide all the supplies for the children’s painting activity. They will have the experience of creating artwork that will become a community showcase. The large mural will be painted on the side of the Hometown Buffet building at Bristol Warner Village.
Bristol Warner Village is the first shopping center in the area to host a Operation Clean Slate painting event. Danielle Bovard, marketing manager for Bristol Warner Village, said, “We are proud to have local children create the mural that will build community awareness to help keep our neighborhoods clean and safe. Bristol Warner Village is dedicated to helping our Santa Ana community.”
